We have the sweetest little secret here in Greensboro, North Carolina. It’s called Harvey’s Kitchen. And the man behind the kitchen is local filmmaker Harvey Robinson. Each week he quietly invites singers, thinkers, actors and believers into his kitchen for a tasty beverage (tea, beer, or soda, your choice) and a conversation. The result is a beautiful, artfully-cut, three minute film.

I truly wish I’d have remembered to bring him those cookies.

Harvey's Kitchen

I’ve been watching with interest the videos taken in Harvey’s Kitchen. Seen some good, old friends; some good young ones; and heard some sounds I didn’t even know were being made in Greensboro.

That said, I was delighted when my number came up and Scooter and I got the chance to climb the stairs, and sit in this confessional space known as Harvey’s Kitchen. Soon as I can get my eyes on that video, I’ll post it here.
